S. Krishna Iyer, former President of Kinattinkara Brahmana Samooha Madom, and former State President of Kerala Brahmana Sabha died after protracted illness on Sunday, 13th May 2012 morning at his residence in Ernakulam. He was 84. The eminent Tamil Brahmin community worker held the post of President of the Samooha Madom for almost 35 years.
Krishna Iyer had undergone a bypass surgery two years ago. He was admitted to a private hospital due to poor health but had returned home recently. He held the post of Treasurer at the Ernakulam Merchant's Union and was a former Trustee of the Kalady Sankara Shanti Nilayam. V. Krishnaswami, District President and other State/District leaders of Kerala Brahmana Sabha condoled on his demise.
