The Annual General Body of Kerala Brahmana Sabha, Ernakulam District was held on Sunday, 22nd July 2012 at S. Krishna Iyer Nagar (Sivapoorna A/C Auditorium), Thripunithura. The meeting was presided by V. Krishnaswami, District President. Personalities among Tamil Brahmin community who marked their presence in the society were honoured on the occasion. The prize winners of District level Kalanjali - the art and literary competitions - were given away the prizes and certificates on the occasion. The winners will participate in State level competitions representing Ernakulam District. Educational excellence awards from the State Committee and District Committee of Kerala Brahmana Sabha were also given away on the occasion.

Dr. V. Ramalingam, State President was honoured for winning Top Exporter Award. prof. Dr. S. Sitaraman of Aluva (Environmental Activist), Sangeeth Gopal of Thripunithura (Asthana Vidwan, Kanchi Kamakoti Peetom), S. Shanker of Thripunithura (Best Umpire Award), K. M. Subramania Iyer of Thripunithura ('A' Grade for Sanskrit Ganalapanam, State Youth Festival), Abhiram Lokanathan of Thripunithura (Silver Medal, 14th National Science Olympiad), Saranya Jayasankar (Gold Medal, General Medicine), Sreela R. of Edappalli (1st Prize, Augustine Joseph Memorial Carnatic Music Competition), Gayathri S. Iyer of Edappalli (6th Rank in National MaRRS Spelling Bee Competition), N. S. Shankar of Thripunithura (2nd Rank for MBA Examinations), Ram Ganesh V. of Thripunithura (1st Rank, National Junior Sasthra Prathibha) were the others who were honoured on the occasion.
The Annual Report was presented by Ganesh Venkitachalam A. G., District Secretary and the Annual Accounts by R. Hariharaputhran, District Treasurer. N. Ramachandran, District Vice President, KBS welcomed the Delegates and invitees, and K. R. Chandran, District Vice President, KBS said the vote of thanks. K. Annalakshmi (District President, Vanitha Vibhagam, KBS), Kala Varadarajan (District Secretary, Vanitha Vibhagam), H. Vanchiswaran (District President, Yuvajana Vibhagam), Sreehari Venkitachalam (District Secretary, Yuvajana Vibhagam), Mohandas S. (State Joint Secretary), V. Parameswaran and S. Naganathan (both District Organising Secretaries), M. Vanchiswaran (Convener, Kalanjali), R. Hariharakrishnan (District Joint Secretary), K. A. Narayanaswami and N. Ranganathan (both State Committee Memebers) were also present on the occasion.
