Aluva Brahmana Samooham demands bus route

The Annual General Body Meeting of Aluva Brahmana Samooham passed a resolution requesting the Transport Minister of Government of Kerala to take necessary steps to divert some of the bus services to Paravur, Angamali and Kalady directions through Thottakkattukara Ganapathy Temple - Manappuram – GCDA road – Paravur Kavala. Also the resolutions urged the Railways to provide stop for all trains passing through Aluva. Separate resolutions were passed requesting the Government to ensure Brahmin representation in all bodies and demanded withdrawal or reduction in fuel price.

The Annual General Body Meeting of Aluva Brahmana Samooham was held at Samooham Bhajana Madam, Thottakkattukara, Aluva on 26th June 2011.  K. G. V. Pathy, Vice President welcomed the gathering.  S. Venkatesh, Secretary presented the annual report and R. H. S.  Mony read out the audited accounts statements for the year 2010-11.  H. Narayana Iyer, President of the Brahmana Samooham presided over the meeting. Swaminathan, K. N. Ananthanarayanan, A. N. Kannan, J. Hariharan, Sankar, S. Krishnamurthy, J. Narayanaswamy  and M. H. S. Mony were also present on the occasion.

N. Mahadevan (CGPA 10), Aiswarya (CGPA 9.6) and Varshne (CGPA 8.4) for 10th (CBSE-CCE); Sreevidya B. (94%), Sanju Krishna (89%) and N. Sivaramakrishnan (81%) for Kerala State HSE; Rameshwar H., (78% for B. A. Media Studies-Digital Film & Recording Arts) from Dibrugarh University for Degree were presented the Educational Merit Awards 2011 by H. Narayana Iyer, President of the Brahmana Samooham.
