Soumya C. who secured 2nd rank in M. Sc. (Information Technology) examinations conducted by University of Amrutha Viswavidyapeedham was honoured by the Kerala Brahmana Sabha, Ernakulam District Committee on Friday, 16th of December 2011. R. Hariharaputhran, District Treasurer presented the Cash Award and Letter of Appreciation to Soumya. V. Krishnaswami (District President), Dr. P. S. Raman (State Vice President and President, Thripunithura Upasabha), Ganesh Venkitachalam A. G. (District Secretary), Mohandas S. (State Joint Secretary), K. Annalakshmi (District President, Vanitha Vibhagam), H. Vanchiswaran (District President, Yuvajana Vibhagam), Sreehari V. (District Secretary, Yuvajana Vibhagam), S. Naganathan (Organising Secretary), K. Venugopal (Secretary, Thripunithura Upasabha), S. Ramakrishnan (District Committee Member), R. Hariharan (District Committee Member) and Balu Narayanan (Ex-State Joint Secretary) attended the function her at her residence.

She is daughter of K. C. Chandrasekharan and Rajalakshmi, now residing at Lakshmi, Nedumparambu Mana Lane, Hospital Road, Thripunithura. Her parents and her only brother Karthik C. and husband Sivakumar who is Finance Manager in CTS, Mumbai was also present on the occasion. Dr. P. S. Raman handed over a memento to Soumya C. on her achievement on behalf of Kerala Brahmana Sabha, Thripunithura Upasabha.
