Pudavai and Veshti for Marriage from Ernakulam City Unit

The Kerala Brahmana Sabha, Ernakulam City Unit and its Vanitha Vibhagam donated a veshti for the groom, silk saree and koora pudavai to K. S. Ramani of Kodantharapilly, Palakkad for his daughter's marriage held on 28th of June 2010 at Palakkad. An amount of Rs.2000/- was also handed over to him. The Secretary of Ernakulam City Unit M.Vanchiswaran and Secretary of Vanitha Vibhagam Kala Narayanaswamy handed over the same in presence of S. Narayanan, A. G. Ganesh venkitachalam, R. Ramakrishnan, Saroja Subramanian, A. S. Krishnan and Samooham vadhyar.

Naveena Swayamvaram at Thiruvananthapuram

Naveena Swayamvaram is a programme initiated by tamilbrahmins.com, an online community for the Brahmins spread across the globe to network and interact with one another on issues related to the development and well-being of the community.

A Brahmins Parents Meet of the boys and girls who wish to get married is proposed to be conducted on Sunday, the 11th of July 2010 at Lalith Mahal Kalyana Mandapam, Fort, Thiruvananthapuram. The programmes starts at 09.00 a. m. and will extended up to 04.00 p. m. The programme is open to all Brahmin sects like Tamil, Iyengar, Namboothiri, Telugu, Tulu and Kannada. A nominal registration fee of Rs. 100/- will be charged for the boys and girls are registered for free. You may register online by visiting www.naveenaswayamvaram.com.

The first meet was held in November 2009 at Chennai followed by second meet at Bangalore in January 2010 and the third one at Coimbatore in April 2010. All the events were very well attended with over 1000 profiles being registered. Following the success of these events, it was decided to conduct one of its kinds at Thiruvananthapuram.

Prathishta Day Celebrations at Sree Mahaganapathy Temple, Aluva

The Managing Committee of Alwaye Brahmana Samooham has decided to celebrate the 'Prathishta Dina Maholsavam' of Sree Mahaganapathy Dharma Sastha Temple, Thottakkattukara, Aluva on 20th and 21st of June 2010. On Sunday, the 20th June from 7 a.m. to 12 noon and from 3.30 p.m. to 6 p.m., Veda Parayanam (Rik, Yajur, Sama Vedas) followed by Upanishat Parayanam. On the day of Prathishta Dinam, on Monday, the 21st June, Special Homam, Poojas and Abhishekams will be performed. Prasada Oottu is also arranged. S.
