Bhavana 2010 – the two day residential camp for students organized by Kerala Brahmana Sabha, Ernakulam City Unit at Chinmaya International Foundation, Piravom on Saturday, 29th May 2010 was inaugurated by Honourable Justice M. N. Krishnan. “The education based on ‘Bharathiya Darsan’ will equip the students to face the challenges of the modern World. Apart from science subjects, students should have to develop an interest towards the subjects like literature and history which will help to enlighten themselves and play a role in their character formation” Justice M. N. Krishnan said in his inaugural address. The inaugural meeting was presided by P. Ananthasubramaniam, State General Secretary of Kerala Brahmana Sabha. R. Ramakrishnan, President of Ernakulam City Unit delivered the welcome speech and M. Vanchiswaran, Secretary said the vote of thanks. Ratnam Veeraraghavan, President of Vanitha Vibhagam, KBS, Ernakulam City Unit was also present on the occasion.
Dr. P. R. Venkitaraman on Career Planning, Gopalakrishnan, C. A. on Brahminic discipline and Modern Managemant, G. Viswanathan on Time Management, Meena Viswanathan on Moral, Cultural and Civic values, and Jaya Subramaniam on Importance of Cleanliness were the faculties and the topics for the day one. On the second day sessions were arranged as follows. Vasudevan Namboothiri on Yoga and Meditation, G. Viswanathan on Practical Excellence, Dr. M. N. Venkiteswaran on Health, Dr. Mohandas on Interpersonal Relations, Dr. T. K. Raman on Communication and Personality Development, P. Veeraraghavan on Brahmin Culture and Swami Advayananda on Essence of Gita. The camp came to an end by 5.30 p.m. on Sunday 30th, May 2010.
